Ever since Heluva Good took their clam dip off the market, I’ve been looking for a substitute. Since I can’t buy one off the shelf, ready to go, I had to come up with my own that was easy to make (because when I want chips and dip, I don’t want to spend forever making it. Who does?) And of course, being me, I needed a little heat, so sriracha being a common ingredient in our food, I added some. And I was not disappointed with the result.
Here it is, a Friday, and I could seriously deal with having chips and dip for supper. But we’ll probably order pizza.
Sriracha Clam Dip
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 can chopped clams, mostly drained
- 2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- 2 scallions, chopped (plus 1 to garnish)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
Soften cream cheese in microwave and combine with sour cream until smooth. Add in other ingredients and mix well. Garnish with reserved scallion and serve with wavy potato chips.
