I asked Ian what he wanted for his birthday dinner, and he loves pizza, so I wasn’t surprised when he said he wanted homemade pizza. While I waited for him to come home from work, I prepped the toppings for the Portland Pie Co. dough.
For Ian, pepperoni, bacon, peppers (bell and serrano) onions, black olives and mushrooms on basil dough.
For me, butternut squash sauce, ricotta cheese, bacon and dried cranberries on garlic dough. Mine is a play on a pie made by my favorite Portland pizzeria, OTTO, but I haven’t had the chance to try their version yet.
As you can see below, the results were amazing. Ian helped me with my pie, so I guess I better help him finish eating his.
